There are a lot of people already in the restaurant business and people with no experience just looking to make some extra money. There are however, a few things that good bartenders need to know to run a bar efficiently.
Many would be bartenders get caught up in the myth of they won't hire me without any experience. Employers often use the no experience reason for not hiring as a polite way to end the conversation. It will not all be fun and games, every good thing has a few bad things to go along with it at times.
The cost of many bartending programs includes job placement assistance following completion. Leaving the mixture in the blender or shaker too long will dilute the drink and rob it of it's flavor. There should be also be fruit juices on hand as well, such as lemon juice, orange juice, and even pineapple juice.
The list can go on an on as there are hundreds of things any bartender should know. The bartending career can bring about lots of money.
