We are after all, social beings, and this is one of the reasons why so many people are drawn into becoming a bartender. There are a few things you need to know before pursuing a career as a bartender.
Practise will help encourage you and give you the confidence you need to make you a stronger, happier, and more dedicated bartender. A tap person used to working in pub style establishments may not know cocktails. Some managers want bartending experience, and some don't.
Having a good staff room gives bartenders a place to relax and unwind after a crazy shift behind the bar. Graduates can find employment in any type of hospitality setting, including nightclubs, restaurants, hotels, local bars and pubs, airports, or wherever alcohol is served. Some drinks are named according to the glass they are served in.
And remember, there are lots of schools out there, so look around. You are in the business of not only selling drinks but of selling yourself as well.
